Ms. Ragan earned her B.A. in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Student Personnel Services with a concentration in Guidance and Counseling at Montclair State College. Prior to joining Montclair State University's Student Development & Campus Life team, Ms. Ragan began her career in higher education at Montclair in the Office of Student Activities. She has a diverse professional higher education background in the areas of Auxiliary Services and Residence Life, having worked at Oberlin College, William Paterson College, and most recently as Director of Student Financial Services at The College of New Jersey.

Ms. Ragan served on the Blackboard Transaction System Board including 2 terms as President. She has been active in a number of professional organizations and community organizations, having served on the Board of the Delaware Raritan Girl Scout Council, on the Brandon Farm Property Owner's Association, and currently chairing St. Francis de Sales Church's (Lodi) stewardship and hospitality committee.
