Frequently
Asked Questions
So
why are you called the "Newman" Student
Fellowship?
The first Newman student fellowship was started by students of
John Henry Cardinal Newman at Oxford University in the 1890's.
Newman was a renowned scholar and Christian who became convinced
in his adult
years that the fullness of truth and grace are found in Jesus Christ
and His Church. He has left us a collection of important theological
works, in which he states that faith and the use of reason work
together harmoniously in bringing us to a fuller discovery and
appreciation of the Truth. Today, Newman ministries exist on college
campuses
around
the world, united in their pursuit of the Way, the Truth, and the
Life after the example of Cardinal Newman.
Can I get involved with
Newman Student Fellowship if I am not Catholic?
Absolutely! We affirm every individual's desire to pursue the
Way, the Truth, and the Life. We invite you to join us as we
all seek to
better understand and live what Jesus has revealed to all peoples.
