The establishment of a lecture
series open to students and faculty. To learn, listen and to discuss
spirituality as another means of healing.
To be invited by faculty of the
Schools of UMDNJ to visit and address students on the importance of spirituality
for themselves and their future patients. Father Tom has already been
invited to be on a panel with doctors to speak to first year medical
students about the importance of clergy and pastoral care in caring
for the total need of the patient.
To establish an interfaith ministry
to provide a healthy spirituality center for faculty and students. A
place where those in the medical profession can see science and religion
working together.
To provide counsel to those students
and faculty who may be struggling with personal or professional issues
in their lives.
To establish a Reflection / Meditation
room in the school. A quiet place, with a welcoming environment for persons
of all faiths who may seek a place to pray, think, or do spiritual reading. |
